Why we book it
Gibb's Farm is a working coffee farm from 1929 on the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro highlands above Karatu. Cottages sit in flower gardens, almost everything on the table comes from the farm's own vegetable gardens and dairy, and the forest and a waterfall are a walk from the door.
We use it for the crater nights on our honeymoon itineraries: the crater gate is twenty minutes away, and coming back to a farmhouse after the crater floor is the right contrast.
