What we keep, and what we do with it

What we collect, and why

When you enquire through the planner, by email or on WhatsApp, we keep what you tell us: your name, how to reach you, your dates, who is travelling, the kind of trip you want and a budget band. We use it for one thing: to prepare your proposal and, if you book, to run your trip.

If you book, we also hold what lodges, airlines and parks need to confirm you: passport details, nationality, dietary needs and any medical information you choose to share. We pass those only to the suppliers on your itinerary.

How long we keep it

An enquiry that does not become a booking is deleted within twelve months. Booking records are kept for as long as Tanzanian accounting rules require, then deleted.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which buttons and pages lead to enquiries. It records the pages you view and the buttons you tap, not who you are. We do not run advertising and do not sell or share visitor data. You can block analytics with your browser settings or an extension and the site works exactly the same.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets its own cookies when it is enabled, for the purpose above and nothing else.

WhatsApp and email

Messages you send us on WhatsApp travel through WhatsApp and are subject to its privacy policy as well as ours. Email goes to our office mailbox in Stone Town. Either way, only the team that plans your trip reads them.

The reviews shown on this site are taken from public profiles on Google, Tripadvisor and SafariBookings, with the first name the reviewer chose to publish there.

Your rights

Ask us at any time what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and we will do so within a week unless a booking in progress or an accounting rule needs it kept. Write to the address below.
