Why we book it
Ndutu Safari Lodge is the old lodge at Lake Ndutu on the southern edge of the Serengeti, stone cottages under acacias, a fire pit facing the lake and small spotted genets that visit the bar after dark. It has been there since 1967 and looks it, in the best way.
It is the calving-season base on our Ndutu safaris: the herds are on the plains around the lodge from late January to March and the drives start at the door.
