Why we book it
Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma is a lodge of stone-and-canvas rooms around a pool a few minutes outside the Ikoma gate, on the Serengeti's western side. Because it sits outside the park boundary, walking safaris with a ranger and spotlight night drives are allowed here, which they are not inside.
It is the Serengeti base of our fly-in Serengeti week and the drive-and-fly safari: three nights, one of them with a walk and a night drive.
Our mainland safaris quote this lodge or similar: a property of the same standard if it is full or has moved with the season. The exact lodge is named in your proposal, before any payment.
